Basics or Intro to Yoga:
A
course designed to introduce students to the form, theory
and basic alignment foundations of Hatha yoga based
on Anusara principals used in Anusara Yoga, a system
developed by its founder, John Friend. It is presented
in a 4-week revolving schedule which allows atendees
to enter on any given week. This course is highly recommended
to any new student or any student returning to yoga.
Instructor, Debbie Forrestt will present the thoery,
postures, techniques and philosophy, based on a lineage
of teachings, true to the ancient teachings and practices.
Specifics:
This class is more intimate (4-5 students). Class conducted
in smaller room, with more focus on students Specific
needs. Each week we will target an area. For instance,
one week may focus arm balances. While it is not important
that student execute the specific pose, work will focus
on learning Anusara techniques to develop strength,
etc, to work toward that goal. This is an all-level
class, but instructors permission required.
